BROOK BOYS SEAL SERIES WHITEWASH

- By Mike Walters

JAMIE SMITH fired England's blazing saddles to a one-day clean sweep in a turn-up for the bikes.

Amid farcical scenes before start of play, skipper Harry Brook had led a peloton of players to The Oval on e-bikes after their team coach was stuck in gridlocked traffic.

Then Smith's violent 64 off 28 balls made light of England's chase of West Indies' 251-9 as they wrapped up a 3-0 series win by seven wickets with 10.2 overs to spare.

Roadworks and faulty traffic lights stymied England's four-and-a-half-mile journey from their Kensington hotel.

England captain Brook said: “We were on the bus for a while, so we all decided to get off and get some Lime bikes in.
