FRANK Lampard admits that he “doesn’t enjoy” this period of the summer transfer window with the clock ticking towards deadline day and deals still to be done.

The head coach says there are many unknown variables that he can’t control as the club continues to look to add fresh quality to his squad while fending off the advances of higher or financially better-placed clubs for City’s star players, like Jack Rudoni, with little more than two weeks left to trade.
