HEAD coach Ian Westwood insists Warwickshire will go out and 'give everything' in their concluding game of the season after a frustrating washout in their final home fixture.

- By BRIAN HALFORD

No play was possible due to rain on the final day against Essex yesterday at Edgbaston, meaning that three of the four days were completely blank.

The Bears now finish off their season at Trent Bridge against Nottinghamshire in a match which starts next Wednesday.

Warwickshire did not get the chance to bat against Essex, who had reached 325 for five in their first innings.

"It’s been a frustrating few days, especially on the first when we couldn't get the covers off because of the wind, I’ve not come across that before in my time in the game,” said Westwood.
