Friendlies get new season underway

CITY of Wells Bowling has begun the 2025 season with three Friendlies.

‘The ladies’ first game was a three-rink affair at Wedmore, with Irene Prince playing her first game for Wells.
‘The afternoon stayed dry and Wells won on two of the rinks whilst drawing the third to win 56-37.
Rink scores: A Churches, J Willcox, E Morley, H Willerton 26 shots (Wedmore 8); L Sykes, O Michelmore, R Allen, C Skeates 13 shots (Wedmore 13); C Pringle, I Prince, C Gadd, T Bishop 17 shots (Wedmore 16).
Their second game was another three-rink match at Chew Stoke, with Jenny Collingwood this time making her debut. Once again, the ladies played well to win on all three rinks and 89-21 overall.
In their rink, Christine Pringle, Collingwood, Trudy Bishop and Car-olle Skeates scored a ‘hot shot, gain-ing the maximum eight shots on that particular end.
Rink scores: L Sykes, C Jenner-Timms, E Morley, A Midwinter 22 shots (Chew Stoke 11); C Pringle, J Collingwood, T Bishop, C Skeates 38 shots (Chew 5); A Churches, S May, P Green, H Willer-ton 29 shots (Chew 5).
