'We will miss Vijay deeply' Family's heartbreak following fatal stabbing

THE family of a Bristol student who was stabbed to death have asked for help to repatriate his body back to India.

The family of Bristol student Vijay Kumar have paid tribute to him

Vijay Kumar, 30, was found at around 4.15am on Barbourne Road, Worcester, on November 25.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries but died later that day in an incident which West Mercia Police is investigating as murder.

Five men have been released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of murder.

The University of the West of England (UWE) in Bristol said that it was in touch with Vijay's family and have offered their full support.

The university added that it is working with the police on the ongoing investigation.

A spokesperson for UWE Bristol said: "The university is deeply shocked and saddened by the news of Vijay’s death and would like to express our condolences to his family at this incredibly distressing time.
