Waste and roads are residents' top council gripes

SOLIHULL Council has seen a rise in complaints with waste collections and highways issues causing most residents dissatisfaction.

The number of complaints has reached a three-year high new figures from the authority show.
There were 741 complaints made in 2024-2025, compared to 628 and 629 in the years before.
The authority's breakdown of the complaints shows 207 of them were over the waste and recycling service while 160 were for the highways service.
In comparison, in 2023-2024, there were 224 waste and recycling complaints and 125 highway complaints.
