Two youngsters hit by cars on the same Brum road
May 05, 2025
|Birmingham Mail
BIRMINGHAM campaigners have shared their devastation at two people being injured in separate crashes on the same road - just three weeks apart.
Better Streets for Birmingham told the Birmingham Mail of their dismay at a nine-year-old child being rushed to hospital after a crash on Caldwell Road, close to Bordesley Green, just after 7pm on Thursday, May 1.
Thursday's crash occurred just weeks after a teenager was seriously injured on Caldwell Road following a collision with a van at around 7.30pm on Saturday, April 12. A man in his 40s has since been charged with driving offences.
Better Streets for Birmingham's comments came 276 days since Birmingham City Council declared a road safety emergency.
