IIMA Raises CAT Cutoff to 95 Percentile for PGP Admissions

A significant jump from the previous cutoff of 80 percentile, the move aims to strengthen the candidate pool for the 2026-28 batch

In a bid to strengthen the pool of candidates to be interviewed, the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has revised its admission criteria for the Post Graduate Program (PGP) and PGP-Food and Agri-Business Management (FABM) courses for the 2026-28 batch.

According to officials at IIMA, general category students will now need to score an overall 95 percentile in the Common Admission Test (CAT)-2025. A sectional score of 85 percentile is also required in each of the CAT's sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA) for the PGP course.
