All of us are familiar with the Indian "Chai". It's the go-to drink for many occasions. One of the popular variants of Chai is the one in which they add lemongrass leaves.
"Leeli-cha" or lemongrass leaves (andropogon citratus) serve as a stimulant, are bitter, penetrating, pungent, diaphoretic, antispasmodic, increase digestive fire, are easily digestible and purify the mouth. According to Ayurveda, Leeli-cha is a well-known perspirant and is used to combat fever by increasing perspiration.
