Mackenzie always knew that marriage to Charity would be challenging - indeed, her unpredictability is one of the main reasons he fancies the pants off her.

But Moira’s brother is utterly blindsided by his discovery this week that his wife has offered to carry a child for Sarah. He longed to have a baby with Charity, and when she suffered an ectopic pregnancy in 2022, he respected her decision to call time on her childbearing days. That she is willing to do something for her granddaughter that she wasn’t willing to do for him is a tough thing to take.
