After a turbulent start to his time in the Caribbean, DI Mervin Wilson might finally have found his feet on the fictional island of Saint Marie when BBC1's hit whodunnit Death in Paradise returns this week.

Since his arrival in the 2024 Christmas special, the focused cop (played by ex-EastEnders star Don Gilet) has not only solved the mystery of who murdered his biological mother Dorna Bray (Judith Jacob) and forged bonds with his new colleagues including DS Naomi Thomas (Shantol Jackson) and Officer Sebastian Rose (Shaquille Ali-Yebuah), he's also uncovered a secret half-brother, Solomon Clarke (Daniel Ward).

Now, as the eight-episode 15th series begins, Mervin is excited to meet his sibling for the first time and is being kept busy with a fresh baffling case that has his boss, Commissioner Selwyn Patterson (Don Warrington), among the key witnesses!
