Nigel tells Grant about his dementia diagnosis

Yolande has long urged Nigel to tell those who care about him that he is living with dementia. This week, the gentle soul finally does just that. Grant – who’s had his back ever since Nigel fell victim to schoolboy bullies – is the person he confides in, but will Nigel let his old friend ‘rescue’ him once again by whisking him away to Portugal, or will he decide that this is one battle he’d rather take control of by himself?

The unlikely pals have been reunited due to Phil’s depression. Nigel contacted Grant when he realised Phil was in a bad way, and the pair were then called on by Linda to intervene when she discovered Phil was suicidal.
