The battle between old money and new in 1880s New York steps up a gear as Sky Atlantic’s lavish period drama The Gilded Age returns.

Penned by Downton Abbey creator Lord Julian Fellowes, the eight-episode second run finds nouveau-riche railroad tycoon George Russell (Homeland’s Morgan Spector) and his ambitious wife Bertha (Carrie Coon) still trying to secure a place in Manhattan high society as a clash ensues over the city’s opera houses.
