Born and bred in Mumbai, Ashna Mirchandani grew up an independent thinker thanks to parents who encouraged her to take chances and make her own decisions. Being the only child, she was taught to follow her passion and always give a 100% to everything she did. Having spent a large part of her childhood at her grandmother's house, Ashna had watched her make some gorgeous art and imbibed some of that creativity herself, sketching outfits on the back of all her exam question papers in school.
After majoring in English literature, Ashna went on to help her mother who worked as a pharmacy-in-charge at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai. "I would hang out and help around during the holidays, so it made sense that I get a formal education in healthcare. I did an MBA in healthcare from the Welingkar Institute, Mumbai."
