This Parachute Regiment teenager lost his closest friend charging an Argentine machine gun post during the Falklands War

Biting wind whipped across tussock grass and stung the cheeks of 2nd Battalion, Parachute Regiment as they marched through the early morning darkness towards an Argentine bunker system at Goose Green on 28 May 1982. The 19-year-old Private Barry 'Baz' Grayling and his best friend, Lance Corporal Gary Bingley, joined a machine gun team for the assault.
