TRISTA SUTTER 'How I Gained My Confidence Back'

Trista Sutter's time on Special Forces: World's Toughest Test was cut short when she withdrew from the Fox series after suffering from hypothermic shock.

But the reality star says she's proud of herself. “I feel like I gained a little bit more of my confidence back as an individual [and] as an athlete — and that I can do hard things if I put my mind to it,” says Trista, 52, who shares kids Maxwell, 17, and Blakesley, 15, with her husband of 21 years, Ryan. “For almost 18 years, I’ve poured myself into my kids and our family,” she continues. “I just wanted to reconnect with that independent, competitive, athletic person that I used to be and figure out who I am when my kids are gone.” Here, the former Bachelorette tells Us more.

You've done a lot of reality shows over the years. Where does Special Forces fall in terms of realness?
