Culture is the Missing Link in Green Transition

India's mining sector is a diesel-heavy industry. But companies have started adopting sustainable technologies. In addition to tech-driven practices, institutionalising innovations from the shop floor is also essential. Pankaj Satija, executive in-charge (ferro alloys and minerals division), Tata Steel, said, “It starts with celebrating failures.” The company has multiple layers of recognition, he added, from shop-floor projects to those at the company level. “At the shop floor level, we have the Manthan Ab Shop Floor Se initiative, where all suggestions are welcome,” he said.
