Some homes proclaim themselves right from the entrance.

They like to make a bold first impression from the get-go. Others unfold quietly, layer by layer, like a silent prayer. In Dehradun, Ashish and Kavita Batra, co-founders of Uniifyy, have engineered the latter.

Christened 'Sculpted in Grace', it is a massive 6,000 sq ft residence that pivots around a feeling, an architecture of emotional resonance where art, materiality, and spirituality unite. “We always start with intention,” the Batras explain. “For us, design isn’t just about visual appeal, it’s about how a space feels.” In this residence, art isn’t a means to elevate aesthetics; it’s the organising principle. Spirituality isn’t confined to one corner of the worship area; it permeates the very bones of the architecture. And openness doesn’t negate intimacy; it encourages it.
