GAURAV AGGARWAL, CHAIRMAN - STONEX GROUP ROCK STAR OF ART
April 2025

Beyond the boardroom, the Chairman of StoneX Group reveals a deep, personal love for marble—a passion that's elevating Indian craftsmanship onto the global stage
There's a moment, if you manage to catch Gaurav Aggarwal in a candid set up, where the polished exterior of the Chairman of StoneX Group melts away, and you see the kid who once trailed his brother Saurav through the sun-scorched marble quarries of Rajasthan. His hands, now steady with the confidence of a man who's built an empire, still yearn to touch the cool, veined surface of a slab, to feel the stories locked inside—stories of centuries, of hands that shaped it before his time. It's not just stone to him; it's a heartbeat, a vibration that has been buzzing in his chest since those teenage days when the dust of his uncles' mines clung to his clothes and sparked a quiet, unshakable love. Meeting him, you feel it; this isn't a businessman spinning profit from rock—it's a dreamer, a creator, whose voice softens with reverence when he calls marble 'Mother Nature's medium.'
That love found its expression in the StoneX Art Soirée 2025, a three-day long celebration in Kishangarh where Gaurav turned his passion into a living gallery of sculpture, design, and craftsmanship. After three years of crisscrossing the globe—meeting artists, gallerists, and curators—he brought together visionaries like India's Sudarshan Shetty, with his poignant marble umbrella, and Italy's Cynthia Sah, whose Apuan marble creations hum with classical echoes, alongside the UK's Peter Randall-Page and many others. Each artist reimagined stone as a vessel for ideas—timelessness, loss, harmony—breathing life into slabs from Macedonia, Turkey, and beyond.

#BEATTHEFIRE - WHAT YOU SPECIFY CAN DECIDE WHO SURVIVES
In moments of fire, there is no second chance. The materials you choose today determine whether a building protects lives tomorrow - or puts them at risk. In an age where speed of construction and visual appeal often overshadow safety, one critical truth must remain nonnegotiable: fire safety begins at the specification stage.
