A 15,000 sq ft multi-generational bungalow by Nehit Vij and Devyani Gupta of Intrigue Designs Studio + Lab gathers three generations, distinct tastes, and a lifetime of art into one layered, light-filled home

To step inside Sangrah @1017, is to enter a living, breathing art gallery. Designed by Nehit Vij and Devyani Gupta of Intrigue Designs Studio + Lab, this 15,000 sq ft Faridabad home portrays an ever-evolving collection of art, memories, and the layered lives of three generations living under one roof. “Sangrah means collection,” notes Nehit. “For us, the house had to feel like an experiential archive of everything this family holds dear.”

From the street, the home announces its philosophy through self-contradiction or paradox. The facade reveals more voids than solids—vibrant metal screens, colourful trellises, and terrace details offset the firmness of concrete panels. The transparency is intentional: those terraces offer glimpses into the colour, style, and thematic elements within, a preview of the distinct personalities lodged inside. One enters through a path covered in greens, leading through the South Court formed by the cantilevered den. Here, the architecture suggests pause, approach, and revelation.
