www.detectornetwork.com is a new online platform that has recently been launched for both beginners and experienced detectorists to share their finds, advice and learn even more about this exciting hobby.

New Detector Network – ‘A Treasure Unearthed for Detectorists'

The site has been set up by two brothers in the UK: Scott, a software and web developer and Ashley, a keen and avid detectorist who was really missing the interaction with other hobbyists during lockdown. Ashley turned to the current online forums and websites to chat with fellow detectorists but quickly realised that the vast majority were antiquated, difficult to use, full of advertisements and seemed not to have moved with the times, unlike the machines within the hobby. There are a lot of social media platforms available, however these do not necessarily cater to everyone’s taste, whether it’s due to people’s privacy concerns, sharing finds of great historical interest, being concerned about others locating find spots or wanting to ignore the latest depressing news feeds or viral cat videos.
