Controlled Aggression
May 2017

An Aggressive Volvo Isn’t An Oxymoron Anymore.
Aggression is a double-edged sword. Too much of it and you lose control; too little of it and you lose ground. Volvo has been bringing some great cars to the Indian market and in its typical style, slowly and steadily carving out a space for itself in a market dominated by the aggressive Germans. This time, though, the Swedes have brought some aggression to its otherwise calm and luxurious product range. Aggression, which will make hearts beat faster — not just its customers’ but even the competition’s. The right amount of aggression, then.

Volvo’s chosen weapon for this act of aggression is the S60 Polestar. The simplest introduction of Polestar is it is to Volvo what M is to BMW, AMG is to Mercedes and RS is to Audi. The real introduction, though, should be that Polestar isn’t Volvo’s division which turns regular cars into track weapons. It aims for a more holistic approach to performance; performance that is useable, every day and in all conditions. And it delivers amply.

2025 KTM 390 ADVENTURE
What makes a perfect shot? It's a cocktail of many elements — the right settings, correct gear, and a great environment. But more often than not, the defining factor behind a killer image is a giant pair of cojones — belonging equally to rider and photographer. Naturally, a few loose screws help, too. Thankfully, and rather coincidentally, Manaal and I align on this philosophy. How else would he willingly hoist a 21-inch wheel right up to my wide-angle lens, trusting that neither of us will cross paths catastrophically? We do have enough screws in the right places to not swap positions... Well, at least, that's what we tell ourselves.
