Pure & simple! Issue no. 107 of Villas&Golfe; is published in a surprising and very special moment. Unexpectedly, millions of people all around the world have abruptly disappeared. The markets have suffered universal breakdown. Unemployment has risen and the drop in sales in most business sectors has been dire. New business models have had to be developed and the state’s intervention has proved vital. This issue of Villas&Golfe; reflects, to an extent, the situation of our economy, in a major interview with Economy Minister Pedro Siza Vieira. And we consider «the mission» of GNR Commander General Luís Francisco Botelho Miguel, as are own. We also show how Luís Onofre has reinvented itself/himself, just like yachtswoman Mariana Lobato and many others, who also bring us a powerful message of solidarity. On the plus side, in this issue we can enjoy a large number of articles that take us in search of new encouragement. 2020, a year expected to be one of prosperity and consolidation, has been transformed into a dark year of disappointment. Politically, we experienced a trinomial, between the PR, PM and Basta with the attack to the euphoria of the far sides of the political spectrum. The polls show it, as these are being heard more and more. The strategy is to speak well of everything, it is to give it all, please all you can, while only attacking the extremes. Nevertheless, there’s always the flip side of the coin. Poverty, social inequality, deceit, political indiscretion, corruption, abuse of power and opportunism lethally increase the extremes. The world reflects just this. Pure & simple!
