Because travelling is good...

Without travel, life would have little meaning. Travelling means leaving behind monotony and venturing off to different places and experiences. Whether you’re travelling short or long distances, the important thing is to learn. Whether alone or in company, the point is to make the most of every moment, because travelling is good for you. Tourism boosts a country’s economy, just as it does in Portugal. That’s why, in this issue of V&G, we hear from the mayor of Ponte de Lima, Vasco Ferraz, who reminds us why it’s worth travelling to Portugal’s oldest town. You’ll see that there is no shortage of reasons. Luís Pedro Martins, president of the Associação de Turismo do Porto e Norte (ATP), also gives his view of the sector in the following pages.
