The ISO quality standard is important for any business organization to fulfill customer requirements and attain competitive advantages with quality and sales. The companies implement a quality management system (QMS) to meet these standards. These organizations design quality manuals to ensure their compliance. An effective quality manual assists the organization in improving performance quality and meeting ISO requirements. Quality manual is required both for employees (internally) and auditors, customers (externally). The quality manual is document defining the business organization quality management system (QMS) and briefing the functionality of QMS. It is a document that outlines the quality management system (QMS) of an organization. It provides a structured framework for how the organization intends to achieve and maintain quality in its products or services.
The quality manuals may differ in detail and format in regard to a specific complexity and score of the business. The contents and structure of a quality manual vary depending on the organization's size, industry, and specific quality management standards e.g. the ISO 9001 standard has specific requirements for a quality manual, but other standards may have different expectations. In some cases, organizations may choose not to create a standalone quality manual but instead integrate these elements into other documentation within their QMS.
