WHEN I ARRIVED IN THE UAE I WAS IN AWE OF THE FACT THERE WASN’T SIMPLY ONE ‘HEART OF DUBAI’ – a focal point that represented the sole nucleus of the city. Instead I discovered a range of exciting and varied destinations to flit between, and really didn’t know where I should start exploring. Yes, I’m making a parallel with this, our bumper April issue.

Each and every year we pull out the stops to deliver a special edition for the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, the region’s leading, international travel and tourism event, with which we are a proud partner. You can read more about our expert-led ATM panel discussion on page 35. We are equally thrilled to be partnering with the Arabian Hotel Investment Conference (AHIC) in Ras Al Khaimah, April 9-11.

Our range of features includes a spotlight on two spectacular hotel brands. Trump Hotels (page 68) and JA Resorts & Hotels (page 102) are utterly distinct in many ways but both provide a wide range of experiences in diverse destinations. Down the road, we enjoy the views from The St. Regis Abu Dhabi (page 78) and, across the globe, celebrate new life and a new season with a range of enticing Easter escapes (page 94).
