Carp fishing is all about doing the basics right. You can have the best bait or fanciest equipment but if you are not doing the basics right you will come home empty handed. Our quick and easy guide to catching carp is not only for new carp fisherman but also for the experienced anglers.

If you see fish anywhere in the margins, try move slowly when approaching, keep very quiet and observe the area for a while when “stalking carp”.

Our main article this month features PVA Tactics to Catch Carp. PVA is one of the most under used fishing tools in everyday carp fishing. Most fishermen believe that PVA can only be used for specimen angling but PVA can be used by weekend warriors as well with great success.

Something that few people really think of is having “the right stuff for art lure angling”. In this article we feature the basic requirements to make look at your own well being, before you pick your rod.

Our destinations for this month are Mofam River Lodge and Dullstroom’s best kept secret.

VisKoors, which is editorially and financially independent, is a bi-monthly magazine catering for all angling facets in Southern Africa. It is designed as a specialist fishing magazine and it enjoys the support and endorsement of non-government organisations, but is not affiliated in any way to these bodies or to any other publishing, environmental or political interest group.
Our mission is to promote angling as a socially acceptable and popular outdoor recreational activity, and in addition, to encourage acceptable angling ethics. As such, VisKoors provides pertinent information on a wide range of subjects. These include providing a platform for informed debate on issues affecting the sport of angling, providing information on angling strategies and techniques, angling waters and opportunities, and also creating awareness of new products.
Within this editorial mix, due consideration is given to developing the sport among all the country's people (including the youth), and to the practical conservation of the country's natural resources.
VisKoors is distributed country-wide by R.N.A. to outlets, not only in South Africa, but also in Namibia, Swaziland and Botswana.
