Op die voorblad het ons vir Cecile Venter, die nuwe dames ope Suid-Afrikaanse rekordhouer met haar spieëlkarp van 16.08kg. Lees meer op bladsy 11 van hoe en waar die vis gevang is.
In nog ‘n baie interessante artikel wys en vertel Paul Rawsthorne van hoe hy karpe vang met aartappels, kaas en malvalekkers – wat ‘n kombinasie! Dan is daar Brandon Fraser en sy mening van hoe ‘n hengelaar ‘n nuwe hengelplek moet benader.
Ons hengelplakke die maand is die Breederivier, Doorndraaidam en Heaven langs die Vaalrivier.
Vir die vlieghengelaar brei Warren van Tonder uit oor hoe om karpe met ‘n vliesgtok te benader en Rudolph Venter teiken die Vaalrivier in Desember, ook met sy vliegstok.
Fanie Fourie gee riglyne aan vakansiehengelaars hoe om met kunsaas verskeie spesies te teiken. Hy wys en vertel hoe om te maak.
