THE SCENOGRAPHER launched a new collection 2017 of monographic issues on theatre design.

Artistic Director of the Teatro de la Zarzuela.

Daniel Bianco is linked to the theater world since finishing his studies in Fine Arts (theater and film scenery). He worked as set and costume assistant in several opera and theater productions.
He has been Technical Director of the Centro Dramático Nacional, the Compañía Nacional de Teatro Clásico and the Teatro Real, and Assistant to the Artistic Director of the Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao.
As stage designer, he has made several productions of opera, zarzuela, ballet and theater: El barberillo de Lavapiés, Don Gil de Alcalá, Don Giovanni, Cyrano de Bergerac, Las bicicletas son para el verano, Medea… He has collaborated with Cristina Hoyos Company, Sara Baras Company and Lluís Pascual.
He maintains a close cooperation with Emilio Sagi that began with El chanteur de México at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris and then with La generala, performed at the Teatro de la Zarzuela and Théâtre du Châtelet. It was there where he also premiered the musical The Sound of Music with which he obtained one of his most talked about successes. Also, following this line of collaborations he has premiered Carmen at the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Rome Opera and the Santiago de Chile Opera, Die Feen in Paris, I Puritani and Linda of Chamounix at the Gran Teatro del Liceo and I due Figaro for the Ravenna Festival, the Salzburg Whitsun Festival and the Teatro Real. He has also prepared the productions of Le nozze di Figaro, Il Viaggio a Reims, Il mondo della luna, Tancredi and Attila for the Monte-Carlo Opera. With Giancarlo del Monaco he has collaborated in Tosca and Madama Butterfly.
