In this issue

The month begins with the first snowstorm of the year. Schools were closed December 4, and wet snow clung to trees, creating winter wonderland vistas captured by our photographers. This week, we share stories on various local infrastructure projects, including a power line upgrade in Sedgwick, a proposed major renovation of the Brooklin School and repair of a deteriorating roof at George Stevens Academy. Area schools' winter sports seasons have started; our coverage will begin next week. Our photographers are capturing the spirit of the season, like a recently constructed lobster buoy tree in Brooklin. And, for those of you traveling between Blue Hill and Brooklin, be aware that the Blue Hill Falls Bridge is expected to be closed from December 12 through 22.
