Hello Young Researchers!
Are you ready to play a game we call “Zero”? Let’s get started!
First, raise your hands and wiggle your fingers. Now move your fingers in a way
that shows what you are saying. Here is one, now it is gone!
Here are two, now they are gone, too! Here are three, now there aren’t any!
Here are four, but not anymore! Here are five, now you can’t see
any fingers at all! Did you notice something when you closed
your fingers? Look at the shape your hand makes. Your hand makes a circle and that
shape is what is called a “zero.” That is also what nothingness is called in
the game we play. It is so amazing! We are chasing after this zero. As we were wondering if it is a number, a shape or even nothing at all, do you know
what we noticed? Zero is a starting point. In this issue we gathered together all the
interesting things we came across, and we present it to you with fascinating information, enjoyable drawings, and questions that make you think.
Have a look! We started from zero and now you should do the same!
Happy reading!
