Now into its 22nd year, our annual dining guide continues
to celebrate the vibrancy of our city’s culinary landscape by
recognising exceptional dining experiences delivered by top
restaurants in Singapore. Despite mounting challenges faced
by chefs and restaurateurs including manpower shortage and
rising rents, we are proud to share that the top restaurants on
our sunny shores have continued to raise the bar on all fronts:
service, quality of food, creativity and concept.
In the following pages, we unveil our award winners—we
selected 87 noteworthy restaurants this year, one of our longest
lists to date. The decisions were not taken lightly. We spent
weeks discussing and mulling the nominees over and over, and
we stand behind them all. This is in addition to the 200-plus
restaurant reviews that we have put together to inspire you to go
out there and explore our diverse dining scene.
Lastly, this book is not just a compilation of the top
restaurants in town; it is also a celebration of the people behind
them. Get to know the teams behind some of our city’s top
restaurants through up close and personal video interviews
that we will be sharing on our digital platforms in the months
to come—find our what drives them and what some of their
secrets are to thriving in this highly competitive industry.

Wine&Dine;’s 21st edition featuring almost 400 of the city’s top dining establishments. This year, our online edition toprestaurants.sg has undergone a refresh this year to keep up with Singapore’s rapidly evolving dining landscape, with recommendation functions and minimalistic aesthetic. What’s more, joining us this year are booking platforms Chope and Quandoo, so readers can make restaurant bookings directly.

Singapore's Top Restaurants is one of the most credible and respected guides on Singapore's dining scene. First published by Wine & Dine magazine in 1996, it is now into its 20th edition.

Serious food and wine lovers will rarely try something new without a recommendation from a friend, and often that friend is Singapore's Top Restaurants. This year's guide features over 320 restaurants across Singapore, all of which have been tasted at by our judges made up of prominent food experts, food writers, industry insiders, critics and commentators. All tastings were conducted incognito and scored based on a rigorous scoring framework. 

With insightful, reliable reviews, Singapore's Top Restaurants is an indispensable companion for industry players and food lovers alike.

Wine&Dine; celebrates its 31st anniversary this year—a feat that shows the brand’s standing in the industry. Its annual Singapore’s Top Restaurants guide is one of the most well regarded authorities on dining in Singapore. 
Michelin starred chefs continue to stake their spots in the diverse and crowded restaurant scene here, while more local chefs are receiving recognition for their hard work. The shifting dynamics in this competitive dining scene mean that some of our previous award-winners find themselves omitted this year, while some new players make it onto our honours roll. 
The text entries go some way to distinguish the merely good from the truly great, but if you need to make a comparison between the standings of the restaurants, then the stringent star-rating scheme would act as a good guide. To qualify for a single star, the restaurant’s overall dining experience must stand out from the crowd.
The deadlines for the entries meant that some new restaurants could not be reviewed in time for this publication. However, we have highlighted them in the ‘Settling In’ section of the book. Last year, we introduced the inaugural Wine List Awards to recognise the efforts of restaurants who have put together excellent wine selections for guests. It was a widely appreciated initiative and we have implemented it again for this year’s edition.
