The Autumn issue of  WOW Singapore plays with the idea of transparency, from the the Chanel J12 X-Ray cover star to the enduring yet perplexing appeal of the dive watch. Our 30-page special gets to the bottom of this horological mystery.

With the Summer issue of WOW Singapore, the team lays the groundwork for subjects that will occupy the magazine for years to come. Issue 57 is marked by  the first-ever double watch cover feature in more than five years: the TAG Heuer Carrera 160 Years Limited Editions.

WOW Spring 2020 grapples with current affairs, while considering the virtues of watch bracelets, which is the focus of the issue. The cover star is the Rado Captain Cook, itself offered with a handsome bracelet option.

WOW Festive 2019 ponders the rise of the sports watch, presenting a 20-page special on the subject. Illustrating the variety here is the cover watch, the Montblanc 1858 Geosphere, which itself happens to imply an active and adventurous lifestyle.

WOW Autumn 2019 shines the spotlight on technical timepieces, including cover star the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gyrotourbillon 5. The deep dive into the mechanical escapement begins here.

The WOW Summer 2019 issue is out now, this time with a strong focus on BaselWorld novelties. We also have A Time to Move covered. The star of the issue is bronze, with the material making its presence felt at virtually every price point.

For World of Watches Autumn issue 2018, we address watchmaking in the context of high mech high tech fields of aeronautics and automobiles – so universally popular because it plays to our primal instincts, triggering the pleasure centres of our brains.

WOW's latest edition is an adventure into the heart of watchmaking conundrums. This issue corrects misconceptions about casemaking, studies the new genre of "Quickstarter" brands and how they're redefining entry level watchmaking; and finally, providing insights to the true provenance of the Girard Perregaux Laureato

2018 is off to a positive note and while it was noted in a previous issue about one brand beginning to accept cryptocurrencies, it looks like increasing revenues have ended such notions for many of the CEOs. That said, while markets are recovering, it looks like the US is still in the doldrums and we have reports which explain the nature and substance of the recovery and the state of the industry. In this issue, we also address how historical re-issues are a nice Cliff Notes summary for newcomers to heritage watchmaking and that while the last three decades have been mostly about ever increasing wizardry on the movements, we're finally seeing some innovation in cases, bracelets and even the faces of the watches. Finally, it looks like GPHG revival prize finally went to the least expected but the most deserving - Longines.

On our cover, the Montblanc Rally Timer is a symbol of the initial resistance and subsequent acquiescence of watchmakers in adopting 21st century manufacturing techniques while preserving ancient traditions. The finishing and decorative metiers are definitely old school while other measures such as quality control and even materials exemplify the modern age we live in.

In WOW Singapore #46, we survey the innovations reshaping traditional watchmaking for the 21st century. Our technical issue also turns its attention to the heavens, contemplating the most recent and noteworthy astronomical complications, with a special emphasis on the humble moon phase indication.
