Dmitry Khvorostovsky is deservedly popular all over the world. His concerts always attract packed houses and end with standing ovations. During his career he has sung more than thirty principal roles in operas. In 2005 the celebrated baritone made a historic tour of Russia, performing touching, sincere and unforgettable songs of the war years. Ten years later Dmitry is returning to St. Petersburg to perform these songs especially for the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In the concert at the Oktyabrsky Concert Hall on 21 May the St. Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by Dmitry Khvorostovsky’s regular partner, Honoured Artist of Russia Konstantin Orbelian
