The virtuoso violinist David Garrett will be appearing at the Ice Palace on 14 December. He is equally at home with the grunge of Nirvana and Mozart sonatas, and switches easily and naturally from Bach suites to the hits of AC/DC. The German musician is the only young violinist to be entrusted with a 300 year-old Stradivarius. He has shared a stage with Andrea Bocelli and the legendary Yehudi Menuhin and has worked with many outstanding conductors, including Vladimir Spivakov, Zubin Mehta and John Axelrod. Garrett’s concert in St. Petersburg will feature classical works by Brahms and Bruch, as well as the rock hits of Kurt Cobain and Coldplay.
