An Anniversary Tour
Placebo, one of today’s best-known rock groups, is celebrating its twentieth anniversary with a world tour devoted to its debut album “Placebo”, which earned a platinum disc. The tour begins in Denmark on 13 October 2016 and ends at London’s Wembley Arena on 16 December 2017. The programme includes all the group’s most popular songs. Brian Molko lifted the veil of secrecy: “To put it simply, you will hear songs that I swore I would never perform again, but we realized that they are what our fans want to hear. I have to say they have been very patient, because we have not often played our best-known and most commercially successful songs. The tour will give the fans a great deal and will give us the chance to return to our early material. So if you want to hear ‘Pure Morning’ and ‘Nancy Boy’, which we haven’t performed for ten years and may never perform again, I advise you to come to the show.
