I’ve had the idea of inviting Daiyan Trisha, a dear friend of GRAZIA Malaysia, to be our Guest Editor since the very beginning when this magazine was still finding its voice. Even then, I knew it had to be her. As an actress and musician, Daiyan’s artistry reaches far beyond the screen and the stage. She is a creative powerhouse, constantly challenging herself and evolving through every chapter of her career. But I’ve always believed that certain things happen only when the time is right. Some ideas need to breathe before they find their moment. When I saw Daiyan again a couple of months ago, right after her song “My Home is Your Arms” won the AIM24 Award—and she also won two awards at Anugerah Melodi Terhangat—I told her, “I think it’s time we do this.” She smiled and without hesitation, said yes. What followed were months of endless calls, texts, and voice notes, from setting the theme, moodboarding, choosing the photographer and videographer, to shaping the stories we wanted to tell. Daiyan was all in. She poured her heart into every idea, shoot, and detail.
