Bad days are inevitable—they’ll make you wonder how you got the job or fret about that longed-for vacation that never seems to arrive. Hard-knock days are sure to come, so what’s a girl to do? A good sob does wonders, but there’s another remedy that often works just as well: having a sense of humour. The ability to laugh at yourself when life kicks you in the butt will take you through the worst slumps of your otherwise-incredible years. We can opt to be stumped every time things don’t go our way, or we can choose to laugh it off, understanding that sometimes $#!+ happens and we’re just gonna have to deal. No matter how frustrating a particularly bad moment can be, if it’s not going to annoy you a year from now (and most often, it won’t), it’s not worth the heartache. Just take a breath, recognize that it’s not ideal, and then laugh it off because you have bigger things to worry about—like living your most awesome life ever.
