We’re so pleased to present to you Cosmopolitan Sri Lanka’s very first special issue. Over the course of the last year and a half, we’ve discussed a variety of topics – sexual health, career goals, fashion trends, body ideals and beauty techniques, alongside a healthy dollop of celebrity news – and one persistent response always resounded loud and clear: you, our incredible readers, loved digesting content around the topic of confidence. So, we’ve developed this issue around exactly that—how to be the most confident version of you.

There are a couple of different layers to confidence. At its core, it’s a state of being that originates from deep within, reassuring, uplifting and self-magnifying. But, as we started to explore the various aspects that affect confidence, we realised that being confident also extends to what you wear, how you look and how your body feels. Confidence emanates as much from the understanding that you’re a great person (which, by the way, you are!), as it does from purchasing a great clutch (guilty!), as it does from being in a healthy, supportive romantic relationship. As simple as it may sound to ‘be confident,’ it’s actually a multi-faceted concept to tackle. We’ve broken it down for you…
