In an attempt to zero in on some spatial gems of history and architecture, Ashish Bhonde truly depicts the coexistence of nature, built form and mankind in a gripping photo series. Ar. Kritika Juneja, in an enlightening one-on-one conversation with Ar. Nabin Patra, extracted insightful information about the young designer’s architectural journey and design practices. For this month’s cover, we are pleased to feature the design of Kartarpur Landport Building. Ar. Gurpreet Singh Shah fostered a spiritually transforming effect with a contemporary built form rooted in Sikhism. Raised on grounds of spirituality, peace and love, the project is a perfect example of engineering going local. Ar. Ishwar Gehi translates harmony, balance and rhythm in the architecture of The Golden Palm City, a gated community of luxury bungalows in Gujarat. Ar. Manjunath CN displays his proficiency in creating refined, relaxing and functional architecture with the design of the Bangalore residence. The Jardin Home, which is a feast of contemporary elegance and chic modernism, is a design by interior designers Disha Bhavsar and Shivani Ajmera of Quirk Studio. Ar. Prashant Parmar aesthetically addresses natural lighting and functionality concerns in the Ahmedabad residence by comprehensively shading the structure with a massive geometrically-patterned trellis. The Udaipur residence ‘Lake City Villa’ is a solid composition of contextual and sensitive architecture designed by Ar. Rakesh Sharma of Genre of Design. Featured towards the end is Ar. Robin R. Sisodiya of ASRO Arcade who blends elements of modern and classic designs to nurture equipoise of luxury and earthiness in the interiors —the Gurgaon home’s most prominent feature.
