In the article ‘Charismatic chiseling of Charbagh, Lucknow’ the ambitious vision of transforming Railway Stations to epicenters and intermodal hubs, giving global integrated solutions to futuristic developments is what has been visualized by Ar. Gurpreet S Shah. Within a milieu where the interior design of a home often implies a surfeit of surface finishing and embellishment, the Birch Ply House designed by Ar. Mahek Lalan of SML Architects, Mumbai, takes a conscious step to form an abode of calm and restraint through an extreme paring down of the palette to a few basic materials. Situated on the terrace of a hotel in Agra, ‘Urban deck’ has been designed to repurpose an existing rooftop space by Ar. Krishna Gaurav Dixit of ADeCon, this open to sky poolside lounge gives its visitors a place where they not only enjoy but create memories. Ar. Soumitra Majumder & Ar. Sukanta Basu of Utopian Associates designed an office space for Shapoorji Pallonji Real Estate in Kolkata, following the legacy by bringing in a feel of a HOME in the interior space of the office. TRIPLEX in Bhubaneswar has been stylishly designed by Ar. Gargi Kumari to create a sense of calmness & contentment as one move through the spaces. Sleek, modern and sophisticated ‘Shah Home’ is designed by Aditi Vora Nair of AVN Interiors, keeping in mind a minimal and clean look. The neutral palette with textured walls, and furniture with jagged edges in spacious rooms, adds to the modern feel. To create a working environment with minimalistic design that truly reflects the personality of Tractebel, Ar. Sonia Sharma of Studiokon designed an office space for Tractebel at Gurugram. A lofty dual story living room forms the core of this modern home, located in Hyderabad designed by Ar. Pavan Kakade of Kreative House.
