The AEPC elections to select the EC members is on its way and this time there is a lot of hue and cry over the selection of candidates as some newly formed parties claim that the members of AEPC are not performing as required and have been manipulating a lot of things. The current AEPC members face a lot of allegations from the Apparel House Exporters Association, who are contesting elections for the first time with an aim to bring changes and better transparency. However, a critical question that comes up is that even if the new party people are elected how can be the industry so sure that they will be able to represent their cases well to the Government, moreover, they will not misuse the funds allocated by the Government. Also, authority always comes with a lot of responsibility, thus, the exporters themselves have to be very cautious about giving power to a well deserving and capable team.
