Celebrations are some of the core aspects of any culture. Whether it is a wedding, a harvest festival, a religious holiday, or a national observance, our celebrations are woven tightly into our overall cultural identity. Celebrations are also an excellent opportunity for intercultural exchange and understanding. We are losing out on usual way of celebrating festivals. Septemebr Issue of Ezhuthu looking into the way how the festivals are evolved for a Keralite.

Jesuits of Kerala has launched an Institute for promoting peace and international relations. In the contemporary context of consumerism, materialism, violence, ethnic conflict and religious fundamentalism, the institute named Loyola Institute of Peace and International Relations (LIPI), hopes to achieve its goals through strategic plans for research facilities, publications, conferring academic degrees, establishing peace forums, seminars and conferences on peace and campaigns to popularize the theme of peace. The first project of the Institute is the publication of a literary-cultural-scientific magazine in Malayalam titled EZHUTHU: Chinthikkunna Hrudayangalkku which was launched on 1 November 2015. The leading literarians, cultural leaders, scientists, and philosophers contribute to its volumes.
