In this issue
The 250th number of Kalachuvadu consists of three special sections. To commemorate the completion of 250 numbers a section analyzing the recent trends and tracks in modern literature. K Mohanarangan , M Gopalakrishnan, Suresh Pradeep and Annojan Balakrishnan respectively write on Poetry, Short story, Novel and Sri Lankan fiction. Another section speaks on Tamil culture in two different articles by Isai and Mu Ramanathan. The third section, Porunai pakkangal , is devoted for the centenary homage to the finest writer in Tamil , Thi. Janakiraman. The introductory note by Vannanilavan and the rest are by Thi. Ja himself which remain uncollected so far. There are three more articles to be mentioned. Aruna Ratnam on NEP , Satchidanandan Sugirtharaja on the Bible testaments which discussed by Raja Rammohan Roy and S R Krishnamurthy on the Booker prize 2020 winning fiction. Poet Anar contributed her new short story in this issue. A comic and satirical malayalam story by Manoj Vellanadu translated into Tamil is there.

அருந்ததிராய் எழுதிய தோழர்களுடன் ஒரு பயணம்' (Walking with the comrades) என்னும் நூல் மனோன்மணியம் சுந்தரனார் பல்கலைக்கழக முதுகலை ஆங்கில இலக்கியப் படிப்புக்கான பாடத்திட்டத்தில் 2017ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது.

1990களில் தமிழில் பெரியார் குறித்துப் புதிய கவனம் உண்டானது. ஒரு கழகத்தின் சித்தாந்தத்தின் அடையாளமாக அறியப்பட்டிருந்த அவரை அதிலிருந்து விலக்கிப் பரந்துபட்ட சிந்தனையாளராக எழுதும் கவனம் என்று அதைக் கூறலாம்.

மான் புக்கர் பரிசு 2020: டக்ளஸ் ஸ்டூயர்ட்டின் ஷகி பெயின்
மொழிபெயர்ப்பாக இல்லாமல் நேரடியாக ஆங்கிலத்தில் வெளிவந்த ஒரு நாவலுக்கு ஒவ்வோர் ஆண்டும் வழங்கப்படும் மான் புக்கர்' பரிசு, இந்த ஆண்டு இந்தியப் பூர்வீகத்தைக் கொண்ட அவ்னி தோஷி (Avni Doshi)க்குக் கிடைக்கும் என்று நாம் ஆவலோடு எதிர்பார்த்திருந்த நிலையில், ஸ்காட்லாந்துக்காரர் டக்ளஸ் ஸ்டூயர்ட் (Douglas Suart) டுக்குக் கிடைத்திருக்கிறது. ஆயினும், அவரின் நாவலான ஷகி பெயின் (Shuggie Bain) குறும் பட்டியலில் இடம்பெற்ற மற்ற ஐந்து நாவல்களைவிட எவ்விதத்திலும் தரத்தில் குறைந்ததன்று.
