Kalachuvadu commemorates the centenary of world known sculptor , painter and teacher S Dhanapal who was the fourth principal of the College of arts and crafts in Chennai. He was one of the founder member of the Cholamandal artists' village and path finer of the Chennai school of art. His students and successors in the art world remember him on this occasion through their writings. The editorial discusses on the subject of public examination for the 5 and 8th standards in schools of Tamilnadu. Stalin Rajangam finds new aspects in the writings of U V Saminatha Iyer and Ayothi dasa pandithar about Dalit narratives.
