This issue is dedicated to the memory of prominent writer Asokamitran who passed away a month back. A bunch of writers from seniors to promising new ones share their views and experiences about the late legend. Perumalmurugan and Paulraj analise the Dalit issue in the background of the recent happening in and around Hyderabad University. On the art and literature end Paa Jayaprakasam's short story and poems by Sahana and Rasmy are included. Yaa Manikandan's column on the unknown Bharati is there in this number. Book reviews , cultural reportage are the notable things in this issue.

Kalachuvadu is an international monthly journal for politics and culture. Published since 1988, it was founded by the noted Tamil writer Sundara Ramaswamy (1931-2005). Kalachuvadu was published first as a quarterly then a bi-monthly and has been a monthly since 2004.
