In this issue

December 2015 issue of Kalachuvadu highlights the debate around the legacy of Tipu Sultan. P.A. Krishnan's article in Q & A mode examines all points sourcing evidence from history. This section also includes the views of William Dalrymple. In this number we have had the honour of publishing yet another uncollected article of Mahakavi Subramaniya Bharathi, appropriately on the storm and rain in Puthuchcherry, thanks to the research of Prof Ya. Manikandan who has written an introductory note placing it in historical context. Tho. Pathinathan, a Srilankan Tamil refugee in India questions the selfish politics of the self proclaimed guardians of Tamils who never fight for the rights of the refugee in India. Su.Ki.Jayakaran's article of the new findings on the Harappa civilisation emerging from the excavations in Hariyana adds value to this issue. A. Muttulingam's short story, Jothi Sakthi's poems book reviews, translations, columns add variety and colour.
