This July issue has came out as the Special Anniversary issue of the Kadambini and its main theme is centered on the topic “Politics and Literature”. It contains essays on the topic on the global, national and our regional literature and politics. Moreover it has the ever memorable shorts stories of the veteran statesman and political leaders of our Odia language like Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab, Nityananda Mohapatra, Godabarish Mishra, Surendra Mohanty, Nadini Satpathy and many more. The another fold of the topic carries the views and opinions of the present-day politicians Sk. Matlub Ali, Baishnab C. Parida, Dr. Kartikeswar Patra, Panchanan Kanuango, Prasanta Nanda and Smt. Umarani Patra. The poems of this issue are also penned by our eminent politicians cum writer. The regular monthly column ‘Batayan’ of Dr. Iti Samanta has a unique story on the meeting of an old politician and old woman writer after so many decades. The discussion of these two old classmates gives us a very logical and solicitous insight of their experiences & views on this topic. The another regular column ‘ Kalajayee’ has the most popular poem “Jeeban patra mo bharichha kete mate” of Baikunthanath Pattnaik with a glowing discussion of Prof. Giribala Mohanty.
