EMERGENCY LANDING STRIP FOR IAF NEAR BORDER IN RAJASTHAN
ADDING to military infrastructure for emergency use for aircraft operations, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Thursday inaugurated a stretch of national highway which has been developed into an Emergency Landing Field (ELF). This is on NH-925 in Gandhav Bhakasar Section, south of Barmer, in Rajasthan. It will be used for aircraft operations in emergency on the western borders with Pakistan.

CM to attend Ganesh aarti today on Yamuna bank
CHIEF Minister Arvind Kejriwal will take part in a ‘Maha Ganesh Aarti’ observing Ganesh Chaturthi on Friday. According to sources in the Delhi government, a mega event is planned similar in line with the ‘Lakshmi Puja’ held last year during the Diwali celebration on the banks of Yamuna.
