In an action-packed month, we’ve somehow managed to cram in more excitement than usual in this issue. We start with reviews of three hotly anticipated cars – the Toyota Corolla Altis, the all-new Mercedes-Benz C Class, and, an AMG with a difference, the Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG. We also got our hands on the lovely new BMW X5, which we pitted against some serious – albeit unusual – competition to see if this versatile new BMW can put up a fight on any terrain. So, we took it off-road against some purpose built machinery, and also to the Buddh International Circuit against the Range Rover Sport. We take great pride in bringing you an uncensored interview with AC/DC frontman and rock god, Brian Johnson. We also asked the new General Motors India MD, Arvind Saxena, about the scale of the challenge that he’s facing. Meanwhile, we put the face-lifted Skoda Superb against the new Hyundai Santa Fe to see which offers the more complete package at a similar cost. Our international partners, Quattroruote, put their editor up against their professional test driver in a Ferrari 458 Speciale. Thanks to them, we also bring you the new Land Rover Freelander – which will be rechristened the ‘Discovery Sport’ in its next avatar. To top it off, we bring you a ride of the stunning new BMW R nineT motorcycle.
